About Six Feet Training
I'm Sebastian Neale — mountain endurance athlete, data analyst, coach, and founder of Six Feet, Foresight Analytics, and the Move More Movement. I’ve been running for decades across both road and trail, but it was in 2023 that I made a firm decision to train with consistency, structure, and long-term intent. What began as a personal challenge has evolved into a way of life — and a coaching philosophy that blends evidence, experience, and empathy.
Since then, I’ve completed numerous road marathons and mountain ultramarathons, including both official races and solo, self-supported adventures. These efforts span brutal climbs, wild weather, and remote terrain — including the Black Beacon 50-Mile Race (3,850m elevation gain), where I finished joint 5th overall and 3rd in my age group. I’ve also tackled back-to-back mountain marathons in training, testing both my physical capacity and mental resilience in harsh, high-elevation conditions.
Endurance, for me, isn’t just about pace or podiums. It’s about capability in the real world. I’m also an experienced multi-day mountain hiker and wild camper, often covering up to 50km per day across exposed ridgelines and boggy valleys with a full pack. These mountain days have shaped my approach to pacing, recovery, nutrition, and gear selection — because when you’re wet, tired, and 15km from the nearest road, your plan either works or it doesn’t.
But my background isn’t just on the trails — it’s in data, technology, and optimisation. As a professional data analyst, data scientist, and AI developer, I’ve spent years building intelligent systems for complex decision-making. That same mindset drives my coaching: every training block, every intensity session, and every progression is grounded in evidence, feedback, and adaptation. I’ve even undergone VO₂ max and lactate threshold testing, using it to tailor my own heart-rate zones and training plans with precision.
In 2024, I logged over 3,000km of running and gained more than 85,000m of elevation — not through brute force, but by applying a structured, sustainable approach that blends physiology, psychology, and lived experience. Now, in 2025, I’m preparing for some of the UK’s toughest mountain races, including the Ultra-Trail Snowdonia 100k and the Beacons Way Ultra 105k, with more to follow.
Why coaching? Because I’ve lived every stage of the journey: the injury cycles, the weight gain, the false starts, the late nights, the breakthroughs, and the finish line moments. I coach because I know what it feels like to juggle big goals with a busy life, a career, and a family — and still get stronger year after year.
